In my last post I recorded how the legs were made for a small patio table I am making.
I completed the table by laminating top from some spare redwood boards. The pieces were not long enough to make a simple top, so I opted for a stepped design. The top was simply glued to the horizontal rails of the base.
The entire table was finished with two coats of minwax ‘Early American‘ stain. This hides the patchwork of wood that was used and, along with some chamfering, gives the table a warmer feel.
